14 Ways to Pamper Yourself in the Virgin Islands

If You are Taking a Vacation, Why Not Pamper Yourself

Need a break? A Virgin Islands getaway can be the perfect way to pamper yourself when you need some R & R. Here are 14 ways to stick with an indulgent motif and treat yourself the whole trip.

  1. Have a fancy cup of tea or coffee (with Cruzan Rum) at Latte’s in Paradise in Red Hook, St. Thomas. Go ahead and treat yourself to a donut while you’re there!
  1. Learn to paint something nice enough to hang on your wall. Enjoy a glass of wine while you’re at it, at Art Uncorked. It’s fun, relaxing, and the best of both worlds – art and wine combined.
  1. Indulge in rich ice cream at Famous Delite, St. Thomas. Take it a step further and get the adult milkshake.
  1. Dress up (or dress down) and go dancing at Duffy’s Love Shack. It’s a unique party-tiki-bar feel in a parking lot in Red Hook, St. Thomas.
  1. Luxuriate in a richly flavorful dinner at Extra Virgin Bistro in Cruz Bay, St. John, with accents grown from their own rooftop garden. Their drinks also feature fruits and herbs grown on-site.
  1. Buy yourself a gift just because. Shop the shops at Main Street in Charlotte Amalie. Or go to the Crown Bay Center for duty-free jewelry and local arts and crafts.
  1. Get a massage right on the beach at Honeymoon Beach on Water Island.
  1. Read a book that’s light and easy, just for fun…on the beach.
  1. Treat yourself to a full open bar on a luxury boat. Book the Sea Ray Sundancer with Sonic Charters and relax to the tune of drinks and snacks while you cruise the Virgin Islands.
  1. Take a luxuriously long morning nap… in a shaded hammock, against a soothing backdrop of rolling waves.
  1. Bring scents of the islands back home. Order cologne and luxury scented soap from Johns Fragrance Company, made with essential oils and spices. Or, choose a gift set and send it home for yourself to find when you return from vacation, to remember the islands.
  1. Develop a new hobby. Learn something new, like how to surf or how to stand up paddleboard.
  1. Spend an hour with someone who makes you laugh. Enjoy a drink together at any of the fun bars in Red Hook.
  1. Pick up deli and have a picnic outside. Grab a sandwich made on fresh baked bread at the place where the locals go – the eclectic Frenchtown Deli in Frenchtown, St. Thomas. Then head to the beach and find a spot to enjoy your picnic lunch.
