Why the Virgin Islands Aren’t Just for Adults

If you’ve ever felt like you had to choose between a
vacation for the kids and a vacation where the adults have fun, you know the
struggle is real. Check out our guide to kid-favorited stuff to do in the
Virgin Islands (that parents love too)!

Snuggle a Sea Lion at Coral World

Want to pet a sea lion? Don’t miss games, selfies, and kisses
with sea lions at Coral World’s Sea Lion Encounter. Coral World is a
spectacular place for the whole family to learn about and encounter sea
creatures. Afterwards, explore Coki Beach for a fun day in the sun. Parents,
you can rent a chair and umbrella, and actually have food and drinks brought to
you while the kids play. Now that’s a
vacation.

Climb
Cliffs and Enter the Gate to Paradise

If your kids are 13 and older, enjoy a guided family rock
climb. Embark on a via ferata, a combination of jungle hiking and rock
climbing. Take in the spectacular views, climb cliffs, navigate boulders, and
pass through a cave known as the gate to Paradise.

Become a
Junior Ranger in St. John

Headed over to St. John to explore the parks? Stop by the
visitor center and ask for a Junior Ranger workbook. Kids will be guided
through educational exercises and games. Once they’re finished, they’ll receive
their own Junior Ranger badge!

Hike a Deserted Island

Enjoy an unforgettable family adventure with Virgin Islands
Ecotours.Kayak through mango trees
and hike the deserted island of Cas Cay on their Mangrove Lagoon Adventure.

Get Your Picture Made with a Pirate

The Pirate Museum of St. Thomas has been featured in two
documentaries, and it’s no wonder. It’s the best place to find lost treasure,
explore shipwrecks, and check out artifacts without ever leaving land.

Swim with Rays

Introduce your kids to the fun world of snorkeling. Ask a
Sonic Charters boat captain to take you to St. John to explore a superb
underwater world. Swim with turtles, explore marine wildlife, and find rays in
the bays of St. John. With an experienced
boat captain
as your guide, your family will have a safe, fun time
exploring.

Hike in the Virgin
Islands National Park

Active families with older kids will enjoy taking a hike on
the Lind Point Trail to explore St. John’s flora and fauna. Begin at the
National Park visitor center and finish the day with a swim at Honeymoon Beach.
Honeymoon offers plenty of rentals to enjoy some fun beach time with the kids
after your hike. Once you return, enjoy a craft beer and pizza at St. John Brewers.
